Abstract
The objective of this research is to establish a link between administrative management and managerial skills in a public university in 2022. To achieve this, an applied research methodology was adopted using a correlational level and a non-experimental design. Information was collected from 44 administrative workers using a survey technique for both the population and the sample. Pearson's r coefficient was used to determine the correlation between the variables examined, encompassing the dimensions of managerial skills and administrative management. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test was used to confirm the normality of the data, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The results of objective 1 showed a correlation of r = 66.7% with p = 0.000 < 0.05. This shows that personal skills have a direct and positive correlation with administrative management. When analyzing the data, it was found that for objective 2 there is a direct and positive correlation between interpersonal skills and administrative management, with an r value of 77.5% and a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. Similarly, for objective 3 there is a direct and positive correlation between group skills and administrative management, with an r value of 78.6% and a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. Considering the overall results, it can be concluded that there is a high correlation between managerial skills and administrative management, with an r value of 84.9% and a p value of 0.000 < 0.05.
